What We Do: Foster Dogs, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that connects rescue organizations, adopters, fosters, and other partners together in our shared mission to help animals in need. We create a comfortable, welcoming environment through open communication and support. As the leading community resource we provide expert advice, quality marketing, and several outstanding specialized programs.

We help rescuers find temporary homes for their available dogs, while providing potential foster owners with the knowledge and resources to begin their foster experience.

More about our amazing efforts: We are focused on foster-based placements for homeless dogs, and place an average of 30 dogs in homes monthly, either through adoption or through fostering. Since some foster dogs soon become adopted dogs once spending a few days in the foster home, we are proud of both types of placement: Foster and Adoption! We run programs called “Operation Foster Bound” for long-term shelter dogs, “Fospice” for end-of-life hospice foster care, free educational workshops, free educational manuals (shipped nationally), and have a strong social media presence in which we highlight dogs from dozens of NYC-area rescue organizations.

We are a registered nonprofit organization and all donations are tax-deductible.
