Connecting homeless dogs with people who want to foster!

Adopt Me, Foster Me, Operation Foster Bound, We Need Homes

Meet Andy the Ladies’ Man Aussie

Looking for foster home in a rural setting (not NYC proper), also available for adoption. Part of OPERATION FOSTER BOUND! 8 years old, 45 lbs, good with dogs and cats! Scroll to bottom of this post for contact info.

Andy was adopted when he was a young fella. Sadly, he returned to the shelter four years ago when his owners moved to an assisted living community. He must have been devastated! Four years is far too long to be homeless. He’s looking for a foster home or adopter in the NY tri-state area, ideally in a suburban or rural area.

Currently, Andy is on thyroid medication. He needs a family who is prepared to continue with this medication for the foreseeable future. It’s a daily dose of meds, nothing too intense. He has been on the medication for a long time, so his dose is currently regulated.

Since Andy can be reactive towards males (apparently he’s more of a ladies man), he’d love a home without men, in a rural environment.

Andy would be great for many female-centric homes, as he’s dog-friendly and fine with cats!

Care of PupStarz Rescue, coming to NYC soon for foster or adopter.

Email pupstarzrescue@gmail.com, & CC Foster Dogs in your inquiry email: info [at] fosterdogsnyc.com. Let them know you found this dog on FosterDogsNYC.com!

Things to keep in mind: Adoption fee applies if you plan to adopt, unless otherwise stated (Foster caretakers must pay adoption fee if they choose to adopt). You may be required to complete a foster/adoption application prior to meeting the dog. Please check with your landlord about your building’s pet policy and of course talk to your roommates. The dog is the legal property of the rescue organization until an adoption contract is signed
