Operation Foster Bound, We Found Homes

Andy the Ladies’ Man Aussie – ADOPTED

5/2017 Andy has been adopted – locally! He found a lovely home in Tennessee, after FOUR YEARS of waiting! Foster Dogs has covered his adoption fee, plus an additional $150.

4/2017: Looking for foster home in a rural setting (not NYC proper), also available for adoption. Part of OPERATION FOSTER BOUND! 8 years old, 45 lbs, good with dogs and cats!

Andy was adopted when he was a young fella. Sadly, he returned to the shelter four years ago when his owners moved to an assisted living community. He must have been devastated! Four years is far too long to be homeless. He’s looking for a foster home or adopter in the NY tri-state area, ideally in a suburban or rural area.

Currently, Andy is on thyroid medication. He needs a family who is prepared to continue with this medication for the foreseeable future. It’s a daily dose of meds, nothing too intense. He has been on the medication for a long time, so his dose is currently regulated.

Since Andy can be reactive towards males (apparently he’s more of a ladies man), he’d love a home without men, in a rural environment.

Andy would be great for many female-centric homes, as he’s dog-friendly and fine with cats!
