Adopt Me, We Need Homes

Meet Izzy the Awesome (Deaf) Pittie

4/2017: FOSTERED through Foster Dogs!

3/2017: Looking for a foster home or adopter. 10 mos old, 37 lbs. Female Pit Bull mix. Good with dogs, cats, and kids! Scroll to bottom of this post for contact info.

From her rescuer: Izzy was found as a stray in South Jersey. Deaf Dogs Rock referred the shelter to us, we communicated.. saw pictures and Voila!  We went to pick her up.  she is just a doll, not much else to say.  She still needs basic training – just doggy fundamentals – a class and/or regular practice would be great for her. she loves other dogs. Still needs a little housetraining work, but is crate-trained. Big snuggler!

Izzy is spayed and up to date on vaccines. She seems to really like kids or yearns for them – a family with older kids (over 7)  and another dog for her to play with would make her so happy!

Yes, she is deaf but has never been able to hear so doesn’t know any differently. There is a lot of helpful information at www.deafdogsrock.org, www.deafdogs.org.
