Did you know that black dogs are less likely than other color dogs to get adopted? Yup, it’s a fact. We think black dogs rock – Site Editor Sarah has one herself!

Kelly came to our 8/24 Foster Fitness event in NYC, and got along well with everyone! Kelly is a lovely young dog at just 6 months old. She and her sister Kay came to the NYC Barkbox Pupup Shop in June, after being rescued from an Alabama kill-shelter. Well, Kay (now named Osa) was adopted by a wonderful home and is living a fabulous life! Kelly is still waiting in foster care for a “forever home.”

Kelly lives with two smaller foster siblings, and gets along great with every dog she meets. She’s an active, smart puppy who will benefit from an owner who will show her the great outdoors (running, walking, jogging, hiking, etc!). She’s been to several adoption events and seems to get overlooked… We love Kelly, and can’t wait to see an adopter come along who loves her even more than we do!
