King the Silvery Senior Pittie – ADOPTED

7/2015: ADOPTED, finally! He was found via Susie’s Senior Dogs, and his volunteers and the staff at Animal Haven are thrilled. (So are we!)

King adopted

6/2015: King is still looking for a long-term foster home or adopter, and has become increasingly anxious and distressed at the shelter. Has separation anxiety (understandably), and needs someone who can be with him most of the time. Has energy and loves obedience training! Scroll to bottom of this post for contact info.

3/2015: Looking for foster home soon, available for adoption. 10 years old, medium/large, shouldn’t live with other pets. Shown here with volunteer Katherine, and fellow Animal Haven pittie/hound mix Lucy (ADOPTED 5/2015)!

Lucy, King

2-king-fosterdogsnyc-animal-haven1My name is King and I came to Animal Haven from the city shelter. I am a very sweet and happy boy who loves people and getting attention. Although I am on the older side, I have the energy of a young dog! I love to take speedy walks around the city and chase tennis balls in the training room.

Due to my past, I have a fear of abandonment and being alone so my new adopter should be willing to work on my separation anxiety. I would do best in a cat-free home.
