Lexi the Chunky English Bulldog – FOSTERED

7/2017: UPDATE: Fostered through Foster Dogs Inc! Adoption pending for August.

6/2017: Looking for a 1-month foster home (has an adopter lined up). 6 years old, 70-80 lbs. Purebred English Bulldog. Good with dogs, cats, kids!

My name is LEXI and I’m a sugar sweet 6 yr female English Bulldog. I’m 70-80 lbs of love. I was given up by my owner due to no time and my skin allergies. As a result of my neglect, I was never exercised properly, just kept indoors and am overweight by 20 lbs!! Also my nails were so long it was hard for me to walk!!

The group that rescued me has taken me to the vet and I need to be on a special diet and meds and my skin is starting to heal already. I also need a foster home preferably on the ground floor/elevator or max 2 flights with easy access to a yard bc I’m not 100% housebroken.

My only other vice is that I am a bit of a barker when you leave me alone. That will subside in time or if you have another dog to keep me company. Other than that I’m an absolute love muffin. I’m a silly happy girl who is friendly to everyone, dogs, kids and cats!! and I make everyone smile and giggle when they see me wiggle and waddle down the street.

Since I’m a bulldog, I do have a hard time breathing and can’t go on long walks but I do like to walk and can take on a few flight of stairs no problem.  I have a forever home in a month and am  looking for a temporary month long foster home that will take the time to properly medicate me and keep me on my special diet so that I will be in ship shape. I promise to keep you entertained for the time that you are fostering me!!
