11/17/14: Looking for foster home or adopter.

Hi everyone! My name is Lucy and I was abandoned at a vet’s office in early June. The shelter staff believes I may have been abandoned due to the cost of a surgery I needed for my back legs. When I arrived at the veterinarian, I was paralyzed from the waist down and unable to use my back legs. Animal Haven agreed to take me in and I underwent surgery four months ago to repair my legs and spine. I am walking well (no more harness), after lots of therapy at the shelter. I can run, jump, and play — which is especially great for an older gal like myself.

Now enough about my legs – let’s talk about how great I am!

I am a loyal, smart and very affectionate senior dog who is willing to give you every ounce of love I have in me. I adore people and am happiest when I’m around them. I’m very easy-going and always up for anything. If you have the space in your home and heart for me, please come meet me at the shelter today!
