We Found Homes

Mocha the Precious Mini Pittie – ADOPTED!

10/2010 UPDATE: After living with foster mom Sarah for over 1 month, Mocha found a home with her current mom (photo above). They have been together for over a year now, and they are simply two peas in a pod.

We are INCREDIBLY happy to see Mocha thriving in her home, and getting along with every person (and dog) she meets. Mocha is a true ambassador for her breed — and for rescue dogs altogether.

Mocha was not only responsible for the creation of THIS BLOG, but also inspired her owner Sarah Gross to create a vegan chocolate company which donates proceeds to homeless animals: Rescue Chocolate. Could this dog be any more amazing??

7/2009 Bio:Hi, I’m Mocha! With the help of volunteer Michal, my foster mom Sarah took me out of ACC the very day I was supposed to be put to sleep. I was a “throwaway mom,” abandoned in the Bronx after my last owner sold my puppies and left me all alone. I am gaining some weight back – and am the happiest girl in the world!

I am housebroken and have already learned how to sit and give my paw! I am a tiny 25-pound brindle pit bull mix, 3 years old (still have some weight to gain). I love going on walks, and I run like a champion! Please adopt me. Formerly at Manhattan ACC, rescued by foster mom Sarah O (Editor of Foster Dogs in NYC).

Mocha was the inspiration for this entire site.

If you love this site, you have miss Mocha to thank!
