PHOTOS: March #FosterPackWalk
Last weekend, we walked through Central Park with over 20 people and 12 dogs — 6 of whom are up for adoption! Thanks to volunteer photographer Nina Chiofalo for capturing the day. View ALL photos in our Facebook album. [RSVP to our next walk!]
We were joined by some familiar faces, as well as a whole lotta new faces. Despite the chilly 23-degree weather, we had a great time and enjoyed being outside in the city! Scroll to the bottom of this post to “meet” the foster dogs in attendance.
Our monthly Foster Pack Walks are a casual, easy, fun way to get to know other dog-lovers in NYC and to spread the word about your foster dog. We stop along the route to take group pics, meet the dogs, make new friends, and take a load off. We’ve held these events in various parks around NYC, focusing on Battery Park and Central Park.
Some dogs who join us for these walks are already in happy forever homes, and are looking for a cool way to meet other pups and get some exercise. It’s great for everyone – even kids. We love when families join, to help teach children about dog rescue and getting to spend time with dogs, especially when they might not have any pets at home (or are considering adoption someday).
