Photos: Strut Your Mutt 2016
On Saturday October 1st, we strutted our stuff for the SIXTH year at Strut Your Mutt, with Best Friends Animal Society. We raised $2,500 for Foster Dogs Inc, thanks to our devoted teammates and their friends and family. Best Friends managed to raise over $350,000 altogether during their NYC Strut Your Mutt event, raising $1.6 million nationally so far. That’s a lot of money that is going to help shelter animals all over the US in countless ways!
We love this exciting outdoor event, held this year at Pier 26 in Tribeca. Strut Your Mutt brings together hundreds of dog lovers, dozens of Tri-State rescue groups, dog-lovin’ celebs, and cool vendors. It’s an all-around great time. Not a bad way to spend a Saturday morning!
Foster Dogs brought some happy adopted dogs, as well as a bunch of foster dogs looking for homes including LULU, HUGO, KING, and ICE! It’s not too late to donate – fundraising runs through the end of October. We aim to reach $5,000, in order to: sponsor a new group of Operation Foster Bound dogs, Educate children in schools for “Canines in the Classroom,” Distribute more Foster Manuals nationally to shelters, Provide “Foster Starter Kits” to new foster homes, and more! We have big goals, and need funding in order to achieve them. Your enthusiasm and donations will make this all possible.
Photographer Stacey Axelrod documented our team’s day at Strut Your Mutt, and got these fabulous shots of our adorable teammates! Having a team that cares about dog rescue makes it all the more fun, and we were so glad to share the day with old friends and new ones!
Donate to our Strut Your Mutt fundraiser here, until October 31.
