Big News: Rey Has Left the Building!
Didja hear? Rey Rey from Operation Foster Bound has been adopted! He has officially LEFT the building. Two years of waiting at the shelter (with a couple months in a foster home last year), and he has finally found a real family. The staff and volunteers at Sean Casey Animal Rescue have been rooting for Rey since he was a young puppy. Foster Coordinator Ally even snapped this photo of Rey as a baby, two long years ago.
This stunning white Pit Bull has received so much love and support from awesome people & organizations, including: Foster Dogs Inc, Robert Stoetzel, Sophie Gamand Photography, Beat Kaestli, BarkPost (Katie Kirnan), Brooklyn DogTime, Find Sugar NYC, Alexis Toriello, Adopt-a-Doodle Project, and many more. See his March 2016 feature on our site, with photos from Robert Stoetzel.
His new parents are previous Sean Casey adopters, bringing home Clover last year and now dedicating themselves to their new buddy Rey. Trainer Rachel Cohen Maso of Brooklyn Dogtime donated her time and photography skills to help Rey over the past couple months, even creating an Instagram account for this handsome hunk. We featured Rachel’s training reflections earlier this month, with no idea that an adopter would appear just ten days later.
Through his regular one-on-one training visits and special day trips to Prospect Park, Rey was able to decompress from the stress of shelter life and learn what it’s like to have a good time and be a good boy!
See Rey’s Operation Foster Bound poster below, first published seven months ago. (Designed by our volunteer Lesa Herrera @ffleurious who happened to foster/adopt Onyx through Operation Foster Bound!)
We are thrilled for Rey and his new family. He and his new sister Blarney (formerly Clover) are best buds. Enjoy your Happily-Ever-After, big boy!
