Connecting homeless dogs with people who want to foster!

Volunteer

Want to offer your expertise to Foster Dogs, Inc.? Looking for friendly, animal-loving, savvy New Yorkers who want to help bring our mission to life! Complete the form below, and read this page thoroughly. No volunteer orientation necessary! Foster Dogs does not have a kennel facility, rather we are a group of awesome people who help promote dog rescue. Read more about how we were formed in our “About” section, to get to know what we do and why we do it.

Want to volunteer at events, and help out with organizational marketing / development / photography / event planning? Well, you’ve come to the right place! We are always excited to meet new people who bring something to the table, even if it has nothing to do with dog care. There are so many ways to help our organization that are unique and tailored to your skill set. We have a wonderful group of dedicated volunteers who work to help spread our message of foster care in the New York City area; we appreciate our volunteers so much! After you complete the form, we may not get in touch right away, though when we do, please reply to our outreach if you can assist. We run awesome events, including: educational workshops, adoption events, fundraisers, shelter volunteering visits, and more. It is incredibly helpful to share dogs on our website who need homes; that is a truly wonderful way to help too!

Meet our Steering Committee, who organizes events, prepares listings online, assists with social media, keeps track of dogs on our website, manages the website, reaches out to potential fosters, handles Fospice dogs, and more! Tara Bahl, Miram Valero, Lauren Hirata, Megan Penney, Katherine Chala, Paula Pahnke
